Senior Consultant – Investor & Sustainability Communications

About the role

The Black Sun Global Advisory team is seeking a senior consultant with strong financial and corporate communications expertise, combined with sustainability advisory experience. You will advise FTSE 100 and 250 clients on corporate and sustainability reporting, helping them meet evolving regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Shape client corporate reporting suites to align with current and forthcoming disclosure standards such as ISSB, CSRD, and UK SRS.
• Provide strategic advice on ESG, climate, corporate governance and related communications, creating presentations, assessments and benchmarking reports.
• Lead client workshops, presentations and external events on best‑practice communication and sustainability reporting.
• Support business development by pitching and winning new engagements and contributing to thought‑leadership research.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate reporting, financial PR or investor relations, preferably with listed companies.
• Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment for investor and sustainability communications.
• Ability to work collaboratively, mentor junior team members and deliver high‑quality projects on time.
• Professional presentation and written communication skills with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of reporting frameworks: TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, UK SRS, GRI, UK Corporate Governance Code, Companies Act.
• Familiarity with ESG and sustainability reporting standards and best‑practice methodologies.
