Senior Data Architect – Finance (London)

About the role

We are a small but growing consultancy seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise data architecture in a highly regulated finance environment. You will work hands‑on from day one, shaping technical patterns and ensuring robust standards across data, analytics and emerging AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise, domain and solution‑level data architectures.
• Establish and govern data architecture standards, principles and technical patterns.
• Design logical and physical data models for operational reporting, advanced analytics, machine learning and AI use cases.
• Provide architectural oversight and design assurance across delivery teams.
• Support data governance, lineage, metadata management and data quality initiatives.
• Contribute to long‑term architecture roadmaps and investment planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a data architect in complex, regulated environments.
• Strong ability to influence engineering teams and drive adoption of architectural standards.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with data engineering, analytics, security and business stakeholders.
