Senior Data Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead three dedicated data engineering teams supporting over 1,100 global operations. The role blends strategic oversight, people management and technical judgement to drive data initiatives for iconic construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor three separate data engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
• Define and execute data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project timelines.
• Oversee vendor relationships, guaranteeing delivery quality and compliance.
• Drive data governance, compliance and security standards across all data assets.
• Architect and optimise ETL pipelines, data warehousing solutions and cloud platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data engineering teams and multiple delivery squads.
• Strong background with Databricks, Azure and service‑operations environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and uphold delivery quality.
• Solid understanding of data governance, compliance standards and data security.
• Expertise in designing ETL processes and data warehousing architectures.
