Senior Employment Associate – Birmingham

About the role

Join a leading international firm’s expanding Birmingham office as a Senior Employment Associate. You will work within a highly regarded Employment team, providing specialist advice to the firm’s Police Federation client base, up to the rank of Chief Inspector.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters for police clients.
• Handle regulatory and pension issues affecting members.
• Represent individuals in Employment Tribunal proceedings and civil courts.
• Provide day‑to‑day employment law guidance and support to the team.

Required profile

• 5–8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in employment law.
• Background in a recognised employment team or in‑house department, with claimant work experience.
• Experience handling employment tribunal claims is essential; regulatory or pension experience is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proven ability to manage tribunal and court representations.
• Familiarity with regulatory and pension matters (optional).
