Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join our growing Manchester team. You will lead contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects, delivering high‑quality investigations, risk assessments and remediation strategies for brownfield, infrastructure and industrial developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects from inception to completion.
• Design, supervise and interpret ground investigations.
• Produce Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Interpretative Reports and remediation strategies.
• Carry out generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments.
• Liaise with regulators, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Oversee project programmes, budgets and resource allocation.
• Mentor junior consultants and support business development.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or related discipline.
• Several years of UK consultancy experience in geoenvironmental or contaminated land.
• Strong report‑writing and technical interpretation abilities.
• Proven experience managing projects and client relationships.
• Knowledge of current UK contaminated land guidance and legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
