About the role
The Christie is seeking a compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our inpatient teams. You will work closely with registered nurses to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a world‑leading cancer centre.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care support including mobilising, toileting, bathing, dressing, and assisting with eating and drinking.
- Perform delegated clinical duties such as phlebotomy, recording patient observations and noting changes in condition.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safe and effective delivery of care according to Trust guidelines.
- Participate in training to develop extended clinical skills and progress from Band 2 to Band 3.
Required profile
- Strong communication skills and a caring, compassionate attitude.
- Willingness to go above and beyond for patients and their families.
- Ability to work under supervision and follow Trust protocols.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
