Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join a leading professional services organisation in Manchester. This 18‑month fixed‑term role will see you partnering with senior leaders during a period of rapid growth, technology investment and strategic transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design and implement people plans that align with commercial objectives.
• Provide coaching, challenge and support to leaders on a wide range of people matters.
• Analyse workforce data to spot trends and influence decision‑making.
• Lead talent, succession and workforce planning initiatives.
• Support organisational design, change and transformation programmes.
• Drive employee engagement and leadership capability agendas.
• Manage complex employee‑relations cases and people‑risk issues.
• Partner with Centres of Excellence to deliver a seamless HR service.
• Assist with annual pay review, promotion and performance‑management processes.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Senior HR Business Partner or in an equivalent senior HR role.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and influencing skills within professional‑services or matrix environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting business transformation, change and growth.
• Strong generalist HR knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
• Expertise in employee relations and sound commercial judgement.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on operational delivery.
• Data‑driven approach to problem solving and decision making.
• Resilience, adaptability and a collaborative working style.
• Background in the legal or professional services sector is essential.
