Senior Jersey Designer – Boys & Menswear (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Vogue Sourcing is seeking a Senior Jersey Designer specialising in boys and menswear to join its fast‑moving fashion team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in Manchester (or Leicester), you will lead the creation of original design concepts, manage junior designers and collaborate closely with the Design Manager and buying teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and develop original design ideas, concepts, embroideries, fabrications and seasonal themes.
• Source appropriate fabrics to meet design requirements and produce detailed specs/tech packs.
• Produce trend packs and colour inspiration boards.
• Manage and mentor junior team members, providing support to the Design Manager.
• Liaise regularly with the Account Manager, factories and overseas offices.
• Participate in range reviews with Directors and maintain strong relationships with buyers.
• Meet departmental deadlines and critical paths to ensure timely product delivery.
• Control expenses, returns and attend inspiration and sourcing trips, including occasional overseas travel.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in jersey, boys or menswear.
• Strong creative and trend‑driven mindset with an excellent eye for colour and fabric.
• Flexible and able to travel between Manchester, Leicester and occasional overseas locations.
• Detail‑oriented, calm under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative team player.
