Senior Multi‑Skilled Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and self‑motivated Senior Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join Artic Building Services. The role focuses on delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown support, diagnostics, repair and installation for a wide range of commercial and industrial boiler systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown interventions on commercial and industrial boiler plants.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and install new heating equipment ensuring safety, efficiency and reliability.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to support installation and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Current Commercial Gas Safe accreditations (COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1A/TPCP1, optional CORT1).
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heating & Ventilation, Gas Engineering or related field.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities across multiple boiler manufacturers.
• Full clean UK driving licence and solid understanding of health‑and‑safety regulations for boiler work.

• ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework.
• CIGA1 – Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances.
• CDGA1 – Commercial Direct Fired Heating Appliances.
• TPCP1A/TPCP1 – Testing & Purging of Pipework.
• CORT1 – Commercial Overhead Radiant Tubes & Appliances (desirable).
• NVQ Level 2 Heating & Ventilation.
• Diagnostic & fault‑finding of boiler systems.
• Technical drawing interpretation.
• AC & Electrical knowledge, including basic 18th Edition wiring.
• Experience with AHU/FCU units and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• FGAS Category 1 certification.
