Senior Policy Advisor – Climate & Political Economy

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to strengthen the Centre for Political Economy and Climate Change (CPECC) programme. The role will develop diplomatic alliances, produce strategic analysis, and support new intelligence and information‑integrity workstreams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop CPECC’s analytic and intelligence products, including new methodology and training on the Political Economy Mapping Methodology.
- Build the Intelligence Briefing Service by mapping intelligence needs and creating continuous monitoring products.
- Produce future‑oriented strategic analysis for senior leadership, such as scenarios, horizon scanning and the State of Climate Politics report for London Climate Action Week 2027.
- Support the Information Integrity workstream, delivering projects and contributing to fundraising initiatives.
Required profile
- High‑quality degree (preferably postgraduate) with experience in international relations, geopolitics, diplomacy, climate change, intelligence or political economy.
- Proven policy and research experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence for political analysis.
- Track record of stakeholder management, coalition building, influencing and fundraising.
- Strong written and verbal communication for narrative storytelling and facilitating diverse stakeholder discussions.
- Analytical mindset, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and thrive in ambiguous, less‑structured environments.
