Senior Product Designer (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our fintech innovation team on a six‑month fixed‑term basis. You will work remotely with occasional visits to our Manchester office, leading end‑to‑end design for a portfolio of digital products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design thinking across multiple fintech projects, from user research to high‑fidelity prototypes.
• Produce journey maps, UX wireframes, UI designs and interactive prototypes to communicate concepts.
• Run ideation, brainstorming and critique workshops with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product and business teams to solve design challenges.
• Ensure designs meet usability standards and support business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering customer‑focused digital products, preferably in a financial services or fintech environment.
• Strong understanding of user research methods and how insights shape design solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in an agile, fast‑paced and data‑driven setting.

Required skills

• Experience creating journey maps, UX wireframes, high‑fidelity UI and interactive prototypes.
• Familiarity with native mobile design principles.
