Senior Seafreight Operator

About the role

Freightserve, a leading freight forwarder based in Colnbrook, is seeking a Senior Seafreight Operator to manage both import and export ocean freight operations. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end coordination of shipments, ensuring strict deadlines are met and customers receive a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export seafreight, meeting tight deadlines.
• Book seafreight and process documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs).
• Prepare and submit customs entries for shipments.
• Handle Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Prepare quotations and invoice clients accurately.
• Manage key accounts and oversee multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Communicate efficiently via email and telephone with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in both import and export ocean freight.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
• Highly organised with a systematic, detail‑oriented approach.
• Computer literate and comfortable using freight management systems.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 9:00 am‑5:30 pm.
