Senior Software Engineer I

About the role

Thought Machine is building the next generation of core banking technology in the cloud. As a Senior Software Engineer I you will own complex, end‑to‑end engineering work, shaping architecture, product strategy and client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build highly reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions.
• Contribute to architecture guidelines and ensure services meet security, performance, cost and reliability standards.
• Set a high bar for code quality through detailed design reviews and pull‑request feedback.
• Investigate production incidents across multiple services and drive operational improvements.
• Lead technical interviews and help grow the engineering team.
• Own work items from concept through production, managing dependencies and delivery plans.
• Partner with Product Managers to prioritize features and translate client requirements into technical solutions.
