Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Cloudbeds is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of its point‑of‑sale (POS) platform for hospitality properties. You will work on a fully remote, Europe‑based team, shaping a product that handles everything from menu ordering to offline synchronization across thousands of hotels worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the React Native/Expo mobile application and its TypeScript codebase.
• Build and operate Python/FastAPI backend services that manage authentication, staff workflows, orders, payments and integrations.
• Define and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform on AWS and manage Kubernetes deployments with Argo CD and Helm.
• Create offline‑first capabilities with SQLite, write‑ahead logging, conflict resolution and data synchronization.
• Ensure reliability, scalability and performance of the POS system through monitoring, observability and production support.
• Collaborate with product, design and other engineering teams to deliver features that meet real‑world hospitality needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering customer‑facing SaaS products in a fast‑moving environment.
• End‑to‑end ownership mindset, comfortable working across mobile, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to balance rapid product learning with operational reliability.
• Effective communication and teamwork within a fully remote, multicultural setting.
