Senior Tax Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CTA) – Hybrid – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a growing independent accountancy practice in Birmingham. The role combines technical tax compliance with advisory work, offering hybrid working and direct exposure to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Support a range of tax advisory projects.
• Identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues.
• Build trusted client relationships.
• Review accounts from a tax perspective and ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain excellent client service.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or equivalent experience with strong tax expertise).
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of corporation tax and personal tax.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine interest in tax advisory.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
