Senior Tax Manager / Associate Director – Private Client

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Tax Manager / Associate Director to join a mid‑tier Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors firm in the Midlands. The role sits within the Private Client team, serving entrepreneurs, family offices, private equity and hedge fund principals, and senior executives of listed and private businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of technically complex tax consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a business‑driven approach.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with high‑net‑worth clients and internal networks.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior staff, contributing to their development and retention.
• Participate in people initiatives, including training of international tax professionals.
• Support team strategy and operations, managing junior staff assignments and development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience providing private client tax services to wealthy professionals.
• Background in a branded advisory or accounting firm.
• Client‑focused, commercially aware and able to develop deep relationships.
• Strong technical tax expertise combined with the ability to produce high‑quality client outputs.

• Tax compliance for UK and non‑UK domiciled individuals.
• Transaction and reorganisation tax advisory.
