Service Advisor – Customer‑Focused Role in Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Service Advisor to join a busy dealership in Birmingham. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring their service experience is smooth and enjoyable while supporting workshop efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers at the service desk, build rapport and manage their expectations.
• Schedule servicing, maintenance and repairs, optimising workshop capacity.
• Identify and promote value‑adding services, parts and labour.
• Provide regular updates to customers and arrange courtesy vehicles or alternative transport when required.
• Collaborate closely with the Workshop Controller and technicians to keep workflow on track.
• Explain completed work, pricing and recommendations clearly to customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, Service Receptionist or Service Consultant in a main dealer or reputable independent garage.
• Strong communication skills, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Organised, accurate and able to prioritise administrative tasks.
• Calm, proactive attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
