Solicitor (NQ‑5PQE) – Construction & Insurance Law

About the role

Keoghs LLP is looking for a motivated solicitor to join its Property Risks and Coverage team. You will work on high‑value property damage and insurance claims, handling your own caseload while supporting senior lawyers on complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload from inception to resolution, including drafting advice and court documents.
• Assist senior lawyers on large, high‑value claims, preparing briefs for counsel and experts.
• Conduct legal research, document reviews and investigations into coverage, liability and quantum issues.
• Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions and settlement negotiations.
• Deliver training seminars and workshops for insurer clients on technical legal topics.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (NQ to 5PQE) with experience in defendant‑side property insurance litigation.
• Strong understanding of product liability, breach of contract, negligence, property law and insurance coverage.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
