Specialist Occupational Therapist – Children’s Services

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its Community Occupational Therapy service within North East Glasgow Specialist Children’s Services. You will deliver high‑quality OT assessments, goal‑setting and evidence‑based interventions for children with developmental and neuro‑developmental needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for children and young people.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and set realistic goals.
• Review progress and adjust interventions to promote participation in daily activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, local schools, nurseries and families.
• Provide services across two clinic bases, educational settings and home environments.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with a desire to work in paediatric community settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with children, families and professionals.
• Organised, motivated and enthusiastic about developing a specialised service.
• Valid UK driving licence (required for community travel).
