Staff Nurse – Clinical Research Facility (Band 5/6)

About the role

The Christie is seeking a Staff Nurse to join its Core Clinical Research Facility (CRF). This Band 5‑6 development position offers the chance to work at the forefront of cancer research, delivering innovative treatments within clinical trials while gaining specialised oncology nursing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients participating in clinical trials.
• Support the delivery of new cancer treatments in a research setting.
• Follow a structured, competency‑based training programme.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary research team.
• Cover evening, night and occasional weekend shifts as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualified to practice in the UK.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and flexible with a willingness to work shift patterns.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to take initiative.
• Previous research or oncology nursing experience is desirable but not essential.
