Support Worker – Special Needs 6th Form (Barking)

About the role

We are seeking passionate Support Workers to join a brand‑new Special Needs 6th Form provision in Barking. You will work with young people aged 16‑19 who have learning difficulties, mental health needs or physical disabilities, helping them develop independence and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to deliver the highest quality of care.
• Follow each student’s specific care plan.
• Teach independent‑living skills such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
• Support students’ social and behavioural development.

Required profile

• Experience in an assisted‑living facility, SEN school or care home.
• Positive, caring attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Reliability and a strong teamwork ethic.
