Sustainable Procurement Consultant – ESG, Social Value & Supply Chain

About the role

Action Sustainability is seeking a consultant who can blend procurement expertise with sustainability principles to drive real environmental and social impact for clients. You will work remotely from the UK, advising organisations on how to embed ESG, social value and responsible sourcing into their purchasing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies for a diverse client portfolio.
• Embed ESG and social‑value criteria into tendering, sourcing and contract management processes.
• Conduct gap analyses, create policies, tools and frameworks aligned with ISO 20400.
• Engage and collaborate with suppliers to improve carbon, human‑rights and modern‑slavery performance.
• Lead smaller client projects independently and support larger programmes alongside senior consultants.

Required profile

• Solid background in procurement, responsible sourcing or supply‑chain sustainability.
• Practical experience applying sustainability requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Ability to translate client commitments into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
