Tax Advisory Manager – Professional Services Firm

About the role

Join an established professional services firm that is expanding its tax team in the West Midlands. As a Tax Advisory Manager you will work across advisory and compliance matters, building trusted relationships with a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of tax clients, ensuring accurate delivery and meeting HMRC deadlines.
• Support and deliver tax advisory projects such as restructuring, share schemes, R&D matters and tax planning.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities, providing practical recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with wider service teams to ensure seamless client delivery.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UK tax legislation and communicate relevant impacts.
• Review work, provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong UK tax background gained within professional practice.
• Experience managing client portfolios and reviewing tax work.
• Technical knowledge of corporation tax and/or personal tax.
• Experience working with owner‑managed businesses.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Exposure to advisory projects and experience mentoring or managing junior staff.
