Teacher for Specialist Further Education College

About the role
The college is seeking a dedicated Teacher to support learners aged 19‑25 with special educational needs and disabilities. You will join a specialist further‑education environment that values innovation, collaboration and the motto “Believing is achieving”. The role starts in the Autumn or Spring term of 2026/2027 on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality curriculum tailored to students with profound, severe, moderate learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorder.
- Develop and adapt learning materials to raise standards and support student progress.
- Monitor and account for individual student development, preparing them for employment, independent living and community participation.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Understanding of special educational needs, particularly SLD and ASC.
- Ability to contribute to curriculum development and raise attainment for this student group.
- Commitment to teamwork and student‑centred outcomes.
