Technical Business Analyst – IAM & Microsoft Entra

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a Microsoft Solutions Partner delivering Identity and Access Management solutions. The role is remote‑first with an office base in Edinburgh and involves working on high‑impact IAM projects for UK and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support requirements‑gathering workshops with customers and technical teams.
• Document business processes, pain points and translate them into clear functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Create process flows, use cases, sequence diagrams and acceptance criteria for development teams.
• Maintain and refine the product backlog, support sprint planning and ensure testable goals are defined.
• Act as the liaison between customers, architects and developers throughout agile delivery.

Required profile

• Strong Business Analyst experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work in cloud‑based environments and engage stakeholders of varying technical depth.
• Experience modelling processes with UML, Visio, Bizagi, PlantUML or Mermaid.
• Clear communicator with solid problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance.
