Technical Catering Engineer (Office Based)

About the role

Elite Personnel is recruiting a Technical Catering Engineer for a Birmingham‑based client. The position is primarily office‑based, providing telephone support to customers with commercial catering equipment, while occasional site visits may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from customers experiencing equipment faults.
• Diagnose technical issues remotely and guide customers through troubleshooting.
• Determine when an on‑site engineer visit is necessary and arrange call‑outs.
• Maintain accurate customer records and service information.
• Liaise with field engineers and internal teams to ensure swift issue resolution.
• Occasionally attend customer sites to provide technical assistance.

Required profile

• Qualified Gas Safe Engineer with relevant electrical qualifications.
• Experience working on commercial catering equipment.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
