Technical Programme Manager

About the role

Thought Machine is building modern banking technology in the cloud and needs a Technical Programme Manager to lead complex engineering programmes. You will own planning, coordination and delivery of multi‑team initiatives that drive the core and payments platform forward.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, set milestones and define success criteria for technical programmes spanning multiple teams and months.
• Communicate schedules, priorities and updates to stakeholders at all levels.
• Support engineering departments in identifying alignment gaps and reducing overhead.
• Collaborate with large cross‑functional teams to ensure outcomes match programme objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement, develop tools and optimise processes for productivity.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing cross‑functional technical initiatives in a top‑tier technology company.
• Obsessive focus on quality, reliability and product value.
• Strong understanding of modern microservice architectures and the full software development lifecycle.
• Inquisitive, problem‑solving mindset and self‑starter attitude.
