Transactional Finance Manager – AP/AR Team Lead

About the role

Axon Moore Group Ltd is partnering with a fast‑growing manufacturing business in Blackburn. They are looking for a Transactional Finance Manager to lead the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) team, ensuring accurate, timely processing and strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the AP & AR team, setting clear priorities and deadlines.
• Allocate workload and plan resources effectively across the team.
• Set objectives, monitor performance and identify development opportunities.
• Implement process improvements, controls and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee invoice processing, payment runs, cash allocation, reconciliations and query resolution.
• Maintain and enhance customer and supplier master‑data processes.
• Prepare short‑term cash‑flow forecasts to support planning.
• Report on KPIs, performance metrics and uphold strong financial controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AP & AR teams.
• Strong understanding of the transactional finance reporting cycle.
• Confidence using financial systems and Excel.
• Excellent communication, leadership and attention to detail.
• Proactive, solution‑focused and able to set clear expectations.
