Travel & Tourism Lecturer – Flexible FE Roles

About the role

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Travel & Tourism Lecturers to deliver courses for a range of well‑established Further Education providers in London. The role involves teaching learners who aim to build careers in travel, tourism, hospitality, aviation and related sectors, helping them develop industry knowledge and professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Travel & Tourism lessons across various levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
• Support students in understanding global tourism, destination management, customer service and industry operations.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Aviation, Events Management or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Travel & Tourism in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Strong subject knowledge of travel, tourism and related industries.
