Vice President, Strategic Equity Solutions

About the role

The Strategic Equity Solutions (SES) team within Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is looking for a Vice President to lead structured equity transactions for corporate and institutional clients across the UK, Continental Europe and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Directly market SES solutions to allocated clients and secure transactions.
• Obtain pricing, structure deals with trading desks and optimise client outcomes.
• Execute client trades while guiding junior team members.
• Oversee production of risk‑approval materials and present them in approval forums.
• Collaborate on wider syndications with peer banks.
• Report to the European Head of SES and manage UK team members.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of financial markets, including cash and derivative products, and associated documentation.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of the regulatory environment and required regulatory accreditations.
• University degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Preferred: CFA qualification and fluency in additional European languages.
