Wordings Specialist – Insurance Policy Drafting

About the role

We are partnering with a world‑leading insurer to find a Wordings Specialist for their UK division. Based in Manchester, you will join a high‑growth team that shapes policy wordings across open market, direct‑to‑customer and delegated authority channels.

Key responsibilities

• Review and advise on retail wordings and product documentation.
• Monitor regulatory, legal and market developments and incorporate them into wordings.
• Provide guidance to underwriters to ensure consistent technical approach.
• Ensure all wordings comply with FCA and other legal requirements.
• Participate in cross‑divisional projects and ad‑hoc initiatives.

Required profile

• Broad knowledge of the general insurance market.
• Deep understanding of FCA requirements related to policy wordings.
• Proven experience collaborating with senior stakeholders.
• Strong project‑management capability.
• Excellent analytical, interpretation and attention‑to‑detail skills.
