Analyst/Associate – Debt Capital Markets US Private Placement

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join its Debt Capital Markets – US Private Placement (DCM‑USPP) team in London. You will support senior team members in originating, structuring, and syndicating private placement debt transactions for corporate and institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior USPP professionals with financial, operational, and industry analysis.
• Research and analyse market data and industry trends.
• Prepare pitch‑book presentations and client materials.
• Develop and maintain financial models for origination activities.
• Conduct transaction due‑diligence and support the production of offering memoranda and engagement letters.

Required profile

• Proven track record of executing DCM‑USPP transactions or related business‑development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent relationship‑management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
