Assistant General Manager – £65-70k OTE with growth to GM

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to join a fast‑growing, award‑winning restaurant group with seven venues across London and the West. Working closely with the General Manager, you will help lead a high‑performing team, maintain exceptional service standards and contribute to the business’s continued expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day‑to‑day operations of a full‑service venue.
• Lead front‑of‑house teams, ensuring consistent guest experience across multiple floors.
• Drive staff development, motivation and performance through hands‑on coaching.
• Monitor budgets, financial performance and cost controls.
• Maintain high standards of food, drink and overall service quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager within quality gastro‑pub or restaurant groups.
• Strong focus on service, standards and guest experience.
• Natural leader who develops and motivates teams.
• Financially aware and comfortable with budgets and performance metrics.
• Highly organised, hands‑on and leads by example.
• Passion for hospitality.
