BIM Intern – Clash Detection & Coordination

About the role

We are looking for a motivated BIM Intern to join Hitachi Energy’s digital construction team for an 8‑week placement (29 June 2026 – 21 August 2026). You will work side‑by‑side with senior BIM specialists, gaining hands‑on experience in clash detection, model coordination and data visualisation on real projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of clash detection processes across BIM models under senior guidance.
• Set up and run clash detection in Autodesk Navisworks Manage using models stored on Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Maintain and update a Clash Detection Dashboard to track coordination issues and progress.
• Assist in building Power BI dashboards that visualise clash trends and BIM performance.
• Help assess BIM performance, including clash identification, valuation, prioritisation and coordination.
• Collaborate with project teams to log, track and coordinate clash‑related issues.
• Apply best practices for BIM coordination, model quality and data management throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• University degree in Architecture, BIM, Digital Construction, Construction Project Management with BIM or Construction Informatics.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence engaging with colleagues at all levels.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and pay strong attention to detail, especially with data and documentation.
