Business Development Manager – Commercial Solutions

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its commercial payments portfolio in the UK. You will lead the expansion of commercial card and non‑card solutions across large corporates, travel & entertainment, and supplier payments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new customer opportunities to increase spend volumes and revenue.
• Execute a segmented sales strategy targeting mid‑size and large corporates and strategic partners.
• Manage a rigorous sales pipeline, coordinating with product development and account management teams.
• Introduce commercial cards, virtual cards, expense management, B2B payments, working capital, supplier onboarding, and business intelligence solutions.
• Prospect, engage, and negotiate contracts with new customers through direct contacts, meetings, events, and conferences.
• Provide consultative guidance to key decision‑makers at prospective clients.
• Strengthen business development relationships by participating in webinars, trainings, and industry events.
• Operate as a sole contributor, driving results independently.
