Business Development Manager – On-Trade Drinks Wholesale

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth for a leading drinks wholesaler across Cumbria and surrounding areas. The role focuses on building and expanding relationships with on‑trade venues such as pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new on‑trade business and secure new accounts throughout the region.
• Manage and grow existing customer portfolios.
• Provide expert advice on product ranges, market trends, promotions and category opportunities.
• Achieve sales targets and KPIs set for the territory.
• Conduct regular customer visits, territory planning and market analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high‑quality service and support.

Required profile

• Proven field sales experience in the on‑trade drinks sector or strong hospitality management background.
• Commercial awareness with a passion for alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Target‑driven attitude and ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
