Hire Controller – Customer Service & Contracts

About the role

Wernick Hire is seeking a proactive Hire Controller to join its depot team. You will be the main point of contact for customers, handling contracts, quotations and enquiries while ensuring smooth operations under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑class customer service to both existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare hire contracts, quotations and related correspondence.
• Record and manage customer enquiries, follow up on quotations and generate new business leads.
• Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate records of all hire activities.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
• Motivated self‑starter with a methodical approach.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver results.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
