About the role

This position is with a leading quantitative trading firm in London, focused on high‑frequency trading. You will join an elite global team to design and build next‑generation hardware solutions that power ultra‑low‑latency strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate FPGA‑based hardware for fast networking, high‑performance compute and real‑time acceleration.
• Collaborate closely with traders and technologists to co‑design hybrid hardware/software systems.
• Solve complex technical challenges in a fast‑paced, accuracy‑critical environment.
• Maintain and optimise existing FPGA and C++ codebases to meet performance targets.

Required profile

• Proven ability to write production‑grade C/C++ code.
• Strong experience building reliable, high‑performance FPGA hardware systems.
• Blend of traditional RTL development and software engineering skills.
• Comfortable working in a rapid, results‑driven setting where precision matters.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Not a fresh graduate; several years of relevant industry experience required.
