Clerk Typist / Paraprofessional – Full‑Time (8 hrs/day)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Clerk Typist I/Paraprofessional I to support the Buckeye School of the Arts. The position works an 8‑hour day, Monday through Friday, providing essential administrative assistance to teachers, staff, and students.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general clerical duties including filing, record keeping, and data entry.
• Produce accurate typed documents, reports, and correspondence at a minimum of 45 net words per minute.
• Assist paraprofessional staff with classroom support and student supervision as needed.
• Maintain attendance logs, substitute schedules, and other school‑related paperwork.
• Collaborate with school administrators to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Associate degree (AA) or at least 48 semester units of college coursework, or successful completion of the Paraprofessional Exam.
• Pass the General Clerical Exam with a score at the 50th percentile or higher.
• Demonstrated typing speed of 45 net words per minute with a current typing certificate (not older than one year).
• Eligibility to meet No Child Left Behind Act requirements.

Required skills

• Typing (minimum 45 wpm).
