Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Swindon head office. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will partner with Marketing, E‑commerce, IT and Finance directors to provide financial planning, analysis and strategic insight.

Key responsibilities

• Transform financial data into clear, business‑focused stories for diverse stakeholders.
• Identify and monitor key performance indicators, especially E‑commerce bookings and Marketing ROI.
• Collaborate with Marketing to assess campaign effectiveness using pre/post testing, control groups and econometrics.
• Work with the accounting team to ensure robust, timely reporting of financial results.
• Provide commentary on performance versus targets and deliver real‑time analysis of trends, risks and opportunities.
• Maintain scorecards covering sessions, sales, profitability and other strategic metrics.
• Review and challenge weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual P&L performance.
• Track and re‑forecast across multiple scenarios to support rolling forecasts.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial reviews, commercial decision support and post‑investment analyses.

Required profile

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant with post‑qualification experience.
• Degree‑level education.
• Previous experience in a similar finance partnership role, preferably with exposure to Marketing or E‑commerce.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with data reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, due‑diligence and validation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, confident at all organisational levels.
