European Credit Controller – Accounts Receivable

About the role

You will take ownership of the accounts receivable ledger for two French sites (Mercus and Toulouse), managing collections, customer onboarding and credit risk assessment while collaborating with local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage collections of receivables for the French sites.
• Set up new customers and assess credit risk.
• Conduct debtor‑aging meetings with customer service, sales and finance controllers.
• Report weekly debtor data, including actual and projected bad debt.
• Handle month‑end close and perform reconciliations with Accounts Receivable and the General Ledger.
• Execute weekly General Ledger uploads.
• Partner internally within the European Shared Services Centre with other functions.

Required profile

• Proven credit control / accounts receivable experience managing multiple customer ledgers.
• Fluency in French and Italian.
• Relevant accounting qualification.
• Experience in business partnering, customer service, problem solving and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet month‑end targets and timelines.
