Composite Technology Facility Operator

About the role

Rolls‑Royce is looking for Operators to join the Composite Technology Facility team in Bristol. You will work on the composite fan system for the Ultrafan program, supporting the production of future civil gas turbine products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) CNC‑controlled equipment.
• Perform composite laminating, moulding, kit cutting and run autoclaves and ovens.
• Use pre‑programmed geometric inspection equipment and basic inspection tools.
• Provide assembly support, operate hand tools and transportation equipment such as master movers and cranes.
• Capture production data and assist with investigations into operating and process issues.
• Support senior team members with continuous‑improvement projects and data collection.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards and minimise non‑conformance.

Required profile

• Experience operating Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) machines.
• Background in pre‑preg composite laminating.
• Ability to work to detailed technical drawings and follow instructions.
• Skilled across a range of manufacturing processes.
• Willingness to work shifts, including rotating schedules, to meet business demand.
