Construction Manager – Waste Infrastructure

About the role

Severn Trent is seeking a Construction Manager to join its Waste Infrastructure team within the Capital Delivery function. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, high‑quality delivery of capital projects across the waste network, working closely with contractors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of construction activities across waste infrastructure schemes.
• Provide on‑site assurance for health & safety, quality and construction standards.
• Collaborate with contractors to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Implement construction best practices across multiple projects.
• Work with project, engineering and H&S teams to ensure aligned delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in construction, civil engineering or utilities environments.
• Knowledge of CDM, RAMS, temporary works and site assurance.
• Strong communication skills with confidence to challenge when needed.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach to delivery.
• Ability to use data and insight to support decision‑making.
• Collaborative, forward‑thinking and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.

• Construction (Design and Management) regulations (CDM) knowledge.
• RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) expertise.
• Temporary works planning and management.
• Site assurance processes.
