About the role
As a Customer Service Advisor in Bupa’s Contact Centre located in Salford Quays, you will be the friendly voice that assists members with their health insurance enquiries. You will guide callers through policy coverage, handle requests, and ensure every interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls and provide accurate information on Bupa health insurance policies.
- Explain coverage details and, when necessary, decline treatment requests with empathy.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records in Bupa’s core systems during live conversations.
- Navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously while speaking with customers.
- Adapt to policy and process changes to deliver the correct outcomes.
- Collaborate with team members and other business areas to resolve complex queries.
Required profile
- Highly organised, resilient and attentive listener.
- Customer‑first mindset with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and follow FCA regulations.
- Comfortable working in a busy office environment and later in a hybrid setting.
Required skills
- Proficient use of a PC and ability to operate multiple systems at once.
- Experience with headset‑based call handling.
- Strong typing speed while listening and speaking.
What we offer
- Permanent full‑time role (37.5 hours per week) with a £26,700 starting salary, rising to £31,250 after 18 months.
- Hybrid working after the initial 15‑week training period (up to three days remote per week).
