Demand Planner

About the role

We are partnering with a multi‑channel retailer in Manchester City Centre to hire a Demand Planner. You will own end‑to‑end demand planning for one of the company’s busiest product portfolios, ensuring accurate forecasts, optimal inventory and smooth supply‑chain execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts across multiple product lines and global markets.
• Analyse sales trends, historical data and inventory levels to support planning decisions.
• Identify and manage stock risks such as shortages, overstocks and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate replenishment, purchasing and inventory movements with internal manufacturing sites and external suppliers.
• Monitor supplier lead times, performance and order fulfilment, escalating risks when needed.
• Generate KPI reports on forecast accuracy, inventory and supplier performance using ERP/MRP systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in demand, supply or inventory planning within manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong analytical capability and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised with a proactive, methodical approach.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP/MRP system).
• Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Microsoft Excel.
