Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

The Desktop Support Engineer provides on‑site technical assistance to end users, ensuring that workstations, mobile devices, and related peripherals operate smoothly. You will act as the first point of contact for incidents and service requests, delivering high‑quality deskside support in line with performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incidents and service requests, providing near‑desk and remote assistance.
• Support end‑user devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and collaboration tools.
• Maintain network‑attached devices such as printers, scanners, copiers, and multifunction equipment.
• Perform daily health checks on user devices and network peripherals.
• Provide meeting‑room technical support and configure projectors or other presentation equipment.
• Deliver effective deskside support following established service standards.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication with the ability to explain technical concepts in non‑technical terms.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and a passion for helping users.
• Team player who can also work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage workload under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and committed to staying up‑to‑date with new technologies.
• Logical problem‑solving skills and awareness of business‑critical incidents.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Windows 11 operating system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
• Experience configuring and supporting PC and laptop hardware.
• Familiarity with Apple iPhone and iPad devices.
• Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
