Information Technology Team Lead

About the role

St Gemma’s Hospice is seeking an experienced Information Technology Team Lead to oversee its IT support services across multiple locations. You will ensure secure, reliable digital systems that enable high‑quality patient care and efficient organisational operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day delivery of hospice IT support services and supervise a small technical team.
• Act as senior escalation point for infrastructure, clinical systems, cybersecurity and digital workplace technologies.
• Drive continuous service improvement in line with NHS standards, Information Governance and IT service management best practices.
• Manage third‑party suppliers and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, networking and end‑user devices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT support, systems administration or infrastructure operations.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a high‑performing team.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities, especially during change.
• Experience delivering IT services in a complex, safety‑critical environment such as healthcare.
