Education Mentor – Support Young Learners in Luton

About the role

SENse Learning is seeking passionate Education Mentors to provide one‑to‑one support for young people with complex additional needs. You will work in homes, community settings and occasionally schools, delivering tailored learning experiences that build confidence and life‑skills alongside academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised mentoring sessions covering academic subjects and emotional regulation.
• Develop and adapt learning plans to suit each student’s unique needs.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and schools to schedule sessions and share progress.
• Maintain a safe, inspiring environment wherever learning takes place.
• Document session outcomes and contribute to holistic learning packages.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience working with children or young people with complex needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH, trauma).
• Background in support work, learning support assistance, teaching assistance or youth work.
• Child‑centred, holistic approach with creativity in curriculum delivery.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and two professional references.
