About the role
SENse Learning is seeking passionate Education Assistants to provide one‑to‑one mentoring and learning support for young people with complex additional needs. You will work flexibly across home, school and community settings, delivering a holistic curriculum that covers academic, emotional and life‑skill development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1‑to‑1 learning sessions in the young person’s home and community.
- Implement SENse Learning’s curriculum based on the four areas of the EHCP.
- Support confidence building, emotional regulation and key life‑skill development.
- Collaborate with parents, carers and schools to schedule sessions and monitor progress.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and create a safe learning environment.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH, trauma, PDA, mental health).
- Background as a Support Worker, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Personal Assistant or similar.
- Child‑centred, holistic approach with creativity to adapt curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS check (can be facilitated) and at least two professional references.
- Right to work in the UK.
