Events Porter – Venue Operations Support

About the role

The Events Porter supports the smooth operation of 30 Euston Square, a Grade II* listed events venue in central London. Working 20 hours per week on an hourly basis, you will ensure that all goods, equipment and stock are handled safely and that the venue remains clean, organized and compliant with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, count, inspect and store goods and equipment according to delivery notes.
• Set up venues, stages and equipment in line with client requirements and BEOs.
• Liaise politely and efficiently with couriers, delivery drivers and clients.
• Maintain back‑of‑house areas to high cleanliness and organization standards.
• Manage liquor stock, record receipts and report any discrepancies to the Operations Manager.
• Create and keep accurate documentation for receipt, return and dispense of goods and beverages.
• Carry out monthly stock‑take administration as directed.
• Ensure all storage areas remain clean and organized at all times.
• Comply with fire, security, licensing and other legal requirements, and report maintenance issues promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to follow Searcys Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Attention to detail when handling stock and documentation.
• Good communication skills for interacting with couriers and clients.
• Physical capability to move equipment safely.
